Khao Kheow Open Zoo

Khao Kheow Open Zoo is situated in Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. It is one of the largest open zoos in the region, offering public services aimed at benefiting society and fostering a connection with nature. Nestled at the base of a lush green hill, the zoo is located about 25 kilometers from Sriracha city and is the only forested area in Chonburi Province. Spanning over 5,000 rai, it was established in 1978 to restore the once-degraded Khao Khiao forest. The zoo is home to more than 300 animal species, most of which are housed in expansive, naturalistic environments. This setup allows animals to thrive in habitats suited to their nature while offering visitors a chance to observe them up close.
