The Million Years Stone Park & Pattaya Crocodile Farm

The Million Years Stone Park and Crocodile Farm was established by Khun Suan Phanomwattanakul, a nature enthusiast with a lifelong mission to preserve Thailand’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. For over 30 years, Khun Suan meticulously collected rare and extraordinary natural objects, including Thai-style trained trees over 200 years old from the early Rattanakosin period, fossilized tree trunks millions of years old, and vibrant stratified rocks. His vision was to create a destination where people from all walks of life, including future generations, could admire and learn from these natural treasures firsthand, rather than relying on textbooks or hearsay. From 1989 to 1992, Khun Suan devoted himself to building the park on its current site near Pattaya. The park’s layout was entirely crafted from his imagination and experience, with its buildings designed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phinyo Suwankhiri, a National Artist in the Visual Arts. On February 1, 1992, the Million Years Stone Park and Crocodile Farm officially opened its doors to the public. Since then, it has continuously evolved, adding new features and attractions. The park offers thrilling daily performances, including daring shows of men battling adult crocodiles bare-handed, making it one of Thailand’s most renowned tourist destinations. Every year, it welcomes thousands of visitors, both Thai and international, including VIPs and student groups on field trips to study geology and wildlife. Notably, during the 2003 World Scout Jamboree held in nearby Chonburi, the park had the honor of hosting scout groups from around the globe. Today, the Million Years Stone Park and Crocodile Farm remains a must-visit destination, combining natural wonders with cultural experiences.
